The human heart is the body’s central organ, tirelessly circulating blood, delivering oxygen and nutrients, and removing toxins to sustain life. Yet, beyond this physical heart lies another—our spiritual heart—the true core of our being. This inner heart defines who we are, shaping our desires, decisions, purpose, will, thoughts, and attitudes.
However, because of humanity’s fallen nature, we all suffer from symptoms of “spiritual heart disease.” Scripture warns, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). Every aspect of our lives—spiritual, mental, emotional, and even physical—flows from the condition of this inner heart. Simply put, the state of our heart determines the state of our life.
