Just look at creation—it overflows with generosity. In my own yard, I see our neighbor’s maple tree scattering its “helicopter” seeds everywhere, as if determined to bless the whole neighborhood. That’s the heart of generosity: abundant, life-giving, and unstoppable.

Think of generosity like a massive power plant fueling an entire city. In the same way, generosity fuels the kingdom of God—it’s the energy that drives love into action.

Of course, generosity isn’t the foundation—that’s God’s love, revealed through Jesus Christ. Without His love, where would we be? But love needs a way to reach us, and that’s where generosity steps in. Someone had to share that love, give it freely. And only God had exactly what we needed.

Generosity is more than just giving—it’s the life-giving power of doing good for others.

Our God is wildly generous. He owns everything, yet He chooses to share His goodness with us. He doesn’t withhold; He pours out blessings we could never earn. He could have kept every perfect gift to Himself, leaving us to struggle and scrape by. But instead, He opens His hands and gives.

Because of His generosity, we have light in our darkness, peace in our struggles, and joy after every season of sorrow. The night may feel long, but morning always comes—and with it, the unshakable joy of His goodness.

That’s the power of generosity: doing good for others simply because you can. And when we live this way, we reflect the heart of our generous God.
